After the historical “Bike for Mom” cycling event which was organized this past August across Thailand to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s 83rd Birthday Anniversary, the Thai people are getting ready, once again, this time to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 88th Birthday Anniversary on December 5 by displaying their profound reverence and heartfelt gratitude towards the Father of the Land at the “Bike for Dad” event, which is predicted to be the largest cycling event of all time.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will, once more, lead the devoted people of Thailand on a 29-kilometre bicycle rally on Friday, December 11 at 3 p.m. The cyclists will bike past important landmarks of Bangkok including Ratchaprasong intersection. The activity will be held spontaneously throughout the country with collaboration from both the public and private sectors.
The monumental biking event will be participated not only by the people within the boundaries of Thailand, but also by the Thai people and friends of Thailand living abroad. Nearly 100 Thai embassies, consulates general, and permanent missions worldwide will join as one to organize the epic “Bike for Dad” event in all corners of the globe. It gives an opportunity for those living in other areas of the world to express their love, loyalty, and reverence to His Majesty the King no matter where they are.
On this auspicious occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brasilia will also organize the “Bike for Dad” event in Brazil. It will be held at Parque da CidadeSarah Kubitschek located in the city center of Brasilia on 11 December 2015 starting at 8:30 hrs. local time (or 17:30 hrs. Thai time). The total distance is approximately 4 kilometers. It is expected to draw approximately 100 enthusiastic participants.
